Episode 055: Natasha ‘Mo’ Hunt and Zoe Stratford

Natasha 'Mo' Hunt and England captain Zoe Stratford OBE are World Cup winners, back-to-back-to-back league champions and co-captains of Gloucester-Hartpury, one of the most dominant teams in English rugby.

Zoe was named World Player of the Year in 2021, and Mo won the RPA Player of the Season Award in 2023.

But this conversation - my first with more than one guest - isn’t just about trophies.

From mopping floors weeks after lifting the World Cup, to balancing 9-5 jobs with elite performance, to walking out at a packed Twickenham in front of 80,000 people, this is a conversation about mindset, leadership and belief.

We talk about:

  • The moment Zoe knew they had won the World Cup

  • What it really felt like stepping off the bus at Twickenham

  • The inaugural women's Lions tour

  • The unseen graft behind women’s rugby

  • How Gloucester-Hartpury built and maintain a winning culture

  • The difference between winning once… and staying on top

  • Leadership, difficult conversations and the power of care

  • What still drives them now

This is a conversation about standards. About belief. About building something bigger than yourself.

Mo and Zoe's relationship shines in the chat, and it was a privilege to sit and chat with two legends of the sport.
